About WAPCO
The West African Postal Conference is the regional intergovernmental body harmonising postal policy, standards, and digital transformation across 15 member states under ECOWAS.
What is WAPCO?
The West African Postal Conference (WAPCO) β also known as the ConfΓ©rence Postale de l'Afrique de l'Ouest (CPEAO) β is a regional intergovernmental organisation established under the auspices of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Abuja, Nigeria, WAPCO's primary mission is to harmonise and integrate the postal sector across West Africa, enabling seamless cross-border mail flows, e-commerce facilitation, and financial inclusion through postal services.
WAPCO serves as the regional representative body to the Universal Postal Union (UPU), ensuring that West African interests are represented at the global level while aligning regional practices with international standards.
Mission & Vision
